I was traveling through Tok to Anchorage in the middle of December...already a rough time to be traveling through the negative 40 degree F weather. I had some car problems that I really needed to find a reliable mechanic for. Out here, you can't afford for your car to fail 90 miles from even a gas station. Ben and Ryan, and their family, truly care about your vehicle and the quality of their service. They fit my vehicle in at 7:30 PM to ensure I could finish my trip the next day...and they did the job right. My girlfriend and I were permanently moving, making the journey from Haines to Anchorage via Canada in the middle of January. We had more than a few problems come up. Long story short: we arrived in Tok with an exploded axle and pretty low spirits at about 7pm and gave these guys a call that night. They had us come in, fixed up the truck, and even chauffeured us back to our hotel while we waited. They gave us the truck back with a new axle installed and detailed the costs thoroughly within 2 hours. They also gave us good advice for the remainder of the drive and didn't make us feel or pay like tourists...which most other service shops in that area do when you go. Honest, funny, and hands-down the best place you could go to get treated like a person, not an outsider.
