When your stretched out in the middle of no where and want to sleep, this place is for you. The guy who owns the place is great and amazing, but he is getting older and it's a lot to keep up with so he is doing a rent to own with someone. There is a gas pump, cozy room up stairs, coffee on in the morning, and nice people. Helps when planning your border crossing. We made it from toad river to border city with 2 kids and a dog and a trailer. Wouldn't have happened if Border City Lodge wasn't there. Rustic friendly host good burgers nice rooms was very helpful with letting me use tools in his shop for my break down. Ps the coffee is good Had the worst stay. Was insulted right away. Recommend to stay in Canada. It will cost more but you will sleep better. The owners were absolutely astounding in their kindness and hospitality. A must stop for either leaving or entering Alaska. Nice people
